What are meta-skills?

Meta-skills are innate, timeless, higher-order skills. They help humans become adaptable and successful, whatever the future brings. As technology evolves, meta-skills will make sure human workers remain essential and irreplaceable.

Everyone uses meta-skills from a young age. As a child tests and explores the world around them, they are developing their meta skills.

Meta-skills act as the foundation to build more advanced, specific skills. For example, someone may use their meta-skill of 'leading' as a base to build technical skills in people management or public speaking.

What do meta-skills mean for employers?

The meta-skills within your business are vital! As an employer, you need to understand the importance they have in terms of your company's roles and positions.
